Rachel joined the team at Hunter Pain Specialists in 2014 after working in General Practice running Women’s Health Clinics and Sexual Health Screening Programs. Prior to General Practice, Rachel also has a lengthy background in acute care setting. This includes specialties such as intensive care, medical and surgical nursing. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing and is currently completing her Masters in Nursing Management. She currently holds the position of Scientific Chair on the ANNSIG Board of Directors, giving her the responsibility of planning and delivering conference content for the International Neuromodulation Society and it’s Australian and New Zealand chapter.
Rachel has also presented at various conferences and has enjoyed the opportunity to facilitate education and networking among her peers. Rachel sees her professional affiliations and continuing education as an asset for providing quality nursing care for patients with chronic pain.
Currently completing her last subject in Masters in Nursing Management, she is also kept busy in her new role as President of Allied Health and Nursing Neuromodulation Special Interest Group (AHNNSIG). Rachel is responsible for organising the Nursing Session for the International Neuromodulation Society World Congress Meeting to be held in Barcelona in May 2022 and hopes that COVID will allow her to attend.
